Along with the development of digital health services, on-demand medical workers are increasingly needed. However, many of them have not received clear legal rights, especially in terms of work contracts, salaries, and protection against work risks.
One of the main problems is the status of on-demand health workers who are often not considered permanent employees, but rather freelancers. This makes them ineligible for various benefits, such as health insurance and social security. In addition, they are also vulnerable to exploitation by irresponsible service providers.
The solution that can be done is to clarify the regulations related to on-demand health workers. The government must set fair employment contract standards and ensure that they get basic rights such as decent wages, protection from unilateral termination of employment, and access to legal services.
In addition, medical associations and health organizations must be more active in fighting for the rights of on-demand medical workers. With clear regulations and better protection, health workers can work more safely and professionally in this digital era.
